It's nice to be a winner, and it's even nicer to win against a talented program. When that win comes in a pivotal debate that's on a topic that can have extremely personal meaning and outcomes, things can't get much better.
However, for someone to win someone else has to lose, and both sides go on to tell their story.

For some context, the link above is to a blog written by a debater from St. Olaf College. The debate he is referring to is the final varsity round of Pi Kappa Delta Nationals 2013, a round in which Morehouse debaters Chris Fortson and Nick Bacon brought the program its first national title.
This post has a dual purpose. First, it's an interesting insight into the way an opposing debater (and a team that lost to Morehouse) viewed our style and strategy. More importantly, it's a glimpse of what a possible vision for this area of the website can look like. St. Olaf has a successful debate program, and if you take the time to check out their blog it's very enlightening to get a glimpse into how they view the world of debate and their place in it, which is partially the reason that Morehouse Debate has this blog. So please, take a look and let us know if you think something similar would be of interest here.
Shout out to current team member Curtis O'Neal for bringing the blog to our attention.
